PRESIDENT HICHILEMA ARRIVES IN EGYPT

President Hakainde Hichilema has arrived in the Egyptian city of Cairo to begin his two -day State Visit from February 23 to 25, 2025.

President Hichilema is in Egypt at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fatah el-Sisi.

ZANIS reports that the President who left this morning is visiting Egypt to strengthen the long-standing bilateral relations between Zambia and the Arab republic of Egypt.

According to statement issued by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mulambo Haimbe, the President is expected to hold bilateral talks with President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

Mr Haimbe also disclosed that President Hichilema will engage in a high-level business meeting organised by the Zambia Development Agency and the General Authority for free Zones and Investment of Egypt.

Mr Haimbe said the business meeting will enhance trade and investment opportunities and promote business partnerships between the two countries.
