Minister of Energy Makozo Chikote says attaining sustainable energy requires collaboration among countries in the SouthernAfrican Development Community (SADC) in order toattain sustainable energy.
First Secretary for Press at the Zambia High Commission in Gaborone, Botswana Julia Malunga, stated in a statement made available to ZANIS that the Minister was speaking during a panel discussion at the ongoing SADC Sustainable Energy week in Botswana.

“The region has the potential to respond to the demand for sustainable energy and it is indisputable that the SADC region can do better,But what we lack in our region is collaboration,” he said.
“We do not collaborate, yet we have identified issues and challenges that are affecting the region,” said Mr Chikote.
