LEVY MWANAWASA HOSPITAL PAEDIATRIC WARD RECEIVES DONATION

Levy Mwanawasa University Adventist Church Men Organisation (AMO) have donated various items to Levy Mwanawasa University Hospital’s Paediatric Ward.

The donation included heaters, baby coats, chairs, Christian books among others.

Speaking at the event today, Mr Michello emphasised the need to show compassion to those in hospitals and the ones nursing them.

And University Seventh Day Church AMO Secretary, Michelo Simuyandi, explained that Christians, are mandated to give back to the community and demonstrate the love of Christ through actions.

Mr Simuyandi emphasised that the donation was a practical expression of the church’s commitment to serving the community.

“We believe that our faith should be demonstrated through our works, and this donation is just one way we are trying to make a positive impact in the lives of the children in hospital, ” he said.

Mr Simuyandi says our actions have a direct impact on God’s kingdom, and we should strive to demonstrate his love and compassion to all people.

The donation was received by Levy Mwanawasa Hospital’s Health Information Officer, Marla Simweleba who expressed gratitude on behalf of the health facility and its patients.

“We are extremely thankful for this generous donation, and also on the encouragement given to nursing mothers which will go a long way in improving the comfort and care of our young patients,” Mr Simweleba said.

Mr Simweleba added that the paediatric ward of Levy Mwanawasa Hospital provides critical care to hundreds of children every year, and the donation from the AMO will undoubtedly make a significant difference in the lives of these young patients.
