Stakeholders in Nakonde District in Muchinga Province have commended Government for the efforts made in strengthening national values and principles.

Nakonde District United Party for National Development (UPND) Chairman, Frederick Chimeya says the principles and values are vital in guiding the nation in good governance.

in an interview with the Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) on Friday, Mr. Chimeya  said the general public should also play their part in upholding the set standards effectively adding that the national values and principles foster unity and cooperation among citizens.

“We must move in the trajectory of unity, peace and love as Zambians in accordance with the  national values that define our national identity,” He said. 

He further applauded President Hichilema for being a good leader who has made tremendous achievements in the few years he has been in the office.

During the Fourth Session of the Thirteenth National Assembly on 28th February, 2025, President Hakainde Hichilema presented the progress made in the application of national values and principles.

And a Nakonde resident, Shadreck Mulenga, said youths should consider engaging themselves in productive activities in their communities in order to avoid getting involved in illicit behavior.
