TANZANIA BOUND BUS CRUSHES LUWINGU TODDLER TO DEATH

A three year old boy has died after he was hit by a Tanzanian bound bus on the Luwingu-Kasama Road.

The incident happened around 14 00 hours on Tuesday 26 November 2024, at Menga Village in Chief Chipalo’s chiefdom in Luwingu District.

The toddler met his fate after he tried to cross to the other side of the road where his friends were.

Wilbroad Mwape, the grandfather to the deceased boy, has confirmed the development to ZANIS in an interview in Luwingu.

“The toddler was following his friend who were playing on the other side; he did not observe traffic rules and was hit and died on the spot,” he said 

A Tanzanian bound bus was coming from Mansa district going to Kasama when the accident happened at Menga 25 Kilometers east of Luwingu District administration.

The toddler’s body is lying at Luwingu District Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem and burial.
