SOLWEZI FREEDOM FIGHTER URGES MEN TO SUPPORT WOMEN

Eunice Sebele, a Solwezi based freedom fighter and a senior citizen, has urged men to support women in the country emphasising the crucial role women play in national development.

In an interview with ZANIS today, Mama Sebele as popularly known, said the development of the nation requires the joint efforts of both men and women.

She notes that women are not only care givers but also developers and their contributions must be respected.

Meanwhile, Mama Sebele stressed the importance of mutual respect and understanding between men and women, highlighting that women should now be considered as partners in development and not just companions.

And Mama Sebele has expressed concern over the country’s moral decay, citing rising cases of children rebelling against parents and young women engaging in immoral behaviour.

In line with the commemoration of International Women’s Day which falls on March 8, Mama Sebele appealed to men to work with women to develop the nation.

“The call is for men to join forces with women to build a better Zambia, promoting unity and collective effort in driving national development,” she said.
