Ndola Mother burns daughter  for stealing K20

An eight year old girl has allegedly been burnt by her step mother for stealing a 20  Kwacha note in Ndola District.

Arthur Davison Children’s Hospital Public Relations Officer ,Sean Kamwendo has confirmed that the eight year old girl who had her fingers burnt on the brazier for stealing a k20 was brought in at the hospital by teachers from her school.

ZANIS reports that the Public Relations Officer was speaking at Arthur Davidson Children’s Hospital in Ndola in the Copperbelt Province.

Ms. Kamwendo has also disclosed that  a 14 year old girl  has allegedly been  abused sexually by her guardian’s son.

She says the child is  currently admitted to the  intensive care unit at the hospital.

Ms Kamwendo  has since appealed to members of the public to report any form of suspected child abuse to the Police Station to help reduce on the increased numbers of  child abuse cases being recorded at the hospital.
