Manyinga Constituency Member of Parliament, Robert Lihefu has commissioned a water reticulation system constructed at a cost of over K600, 000 funded under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) in Chingandu and Kalinyiki villages of Manyinga District in North- western Province.
Mr Lihefu, who is also Provincial Minister, has emphasised the importance of bringing significant improvements to the lives of residents in the two villages.
“The water reticulation system will provide clean and safe drinking water to households, schools, and healthcare facilities, reducing the risk of water-borne diseases,” he says.
ZANIS reports that Mr Lihefu also noted that the project demonstrates the government’s commitment to improving the lives of its citizens particularly in rural areas.
He added that the commissioning of the water project is a testament to the government’s dedication to providing essential services to its people, ensuring a better quality of life for all.
Meanwhile, Local residents have expressed their gratitude for the initiative, thanking the Member of Parliament for his efforts in working towards the betterment of his people in the district.
