Vice President Mutale Nalumango says government has implemented a number of policies that are aimed at empowering women in addition to promoting their rights such as the National gender policy.

Mrs Nalumango says the government is steadfast in ensuring that women along-side girls have equal access to opportunities plus resources.

She noted that the laid-out policies are not just words on paper but a roadmap meant for a brighter future where every woman as well as girl is able to flourish.

She was speaking when she officiated at the 2025 ZANACO Bank ZEE Women Awards last night where she was also awarded the 2025 ZEE Woman CEO Award by ZANACO, alongside other outstanding women who bagged various special recognition awards in their fields.

Mrs Nalumango commended the Bank for its unwavering commitment to fostering an environment where women are able to flourish.

The Vice President also commended ZANACO’s continuous support towards recognising women’s contribution in the society through the awards and that such is a testament to the Bank’s dedication to uplifting women.

“it is through initiatives like these that we can celebrate the achievements of women and inspire future generations,” she noted.
