ZESCO United’s chase for their Tenth League title suffered a setback after relegation-threatened Sensational ZANACO came from behind to beat the Ndola-based Club by two goals to one in an exciting MTN Super week 27 match played at SUNSET Stadium.
ZESCO scored early in the 3rd minute of the game when the ZANACO defence failed to clear an Abraham Siankobo corner kick with a ball bounced off a couple of ZANACO players before ending up behind the net.
However, ZANACO put up a spirited fight and their efforts paid off when Fredrick Mwimanzi scored two goals in quick succession in the 26th and 29th minute.
ZANIS reports that with this win, ZANACO has now swam out of the relegation zone and is now occupying 12 position on the Super League Table on 32 points, while ZESCO is in second place on 48 points, three points behind log leaders Power Dynamos.
