United Party for National Development (UPND) Media Director, Mark Simuuwe, has commended the government’s economic policies, stating that they are necessary for long-term national development despite ongoing criticism.
Speaking during a press briefing, Mr Simuuwe dismissed claims that the UPND administration has failed to address economic challenges, emphasizing that the government remains committed to stabilizing the economy and improving the livelihoods of Zambians.
“The government is implementing policies aimed at long-term economic recovery. Change does not happen overnight, and we ask Zambians to be patient as we lay the foundation for sustainable development,” he said.
Mr Simuuwe reiterated that the government remains committed to addressing economic concerns and ensuring that its policies yield positive results for citizens.
“We understand the concerns being raised, but we remain focused on implementing reforms that will benefit the nation in the long run,” he added.
He said this amid growing public debate on issues such as the cost of living, employment rates, and economic reforms introduced by the UPND government.
