The United Party for National Development (UPND) in Mpongwe District on the Copperbelt Province has refuted allegations of wrangles among party officials in the area.

UPND Mpongwe District Vice Chairperson for Administration, Clement Mwale, says the ruling party in the district is united and working well with all structures.

ZANIS reports that Mr Mwale adds that the UPND in Mpongwe is well disciplined and calm, contrary to media speculations of disputes in the local leadership.

In an interview, Mr Mwale stated that the party in Mpongwe is capable of resolving all matters relating to the local leadership.
