KASAMA Municipal Council has advised school leavers to take advantage of the ongoing skills training applications under the 2025 Constituency Development Funds (CDF) to acquire skills.
Council Assistant Publications Manager Charity Chaiwila says her office has started receiving applications under the 2025 Skills Development and School Bursaries component.
Encouraging youths in the area to apply so that they get occupied, Ms Chaiwila explained that skills training is important as they will sharpen the skills in the learners who will in turn become self reliant.
“Recent Grade 12 school leavers are especially urged to take advantage of this opportunity to sharpen their skills and further their education,” Ms Chaiwila explained.
She further explained that application forms are readily available in 19 wards, as well as at Lukashya and Kasama Central Constituency Offices.
“Those who wish to apply for the skills training and secondary school bursaries can access the forms from their respective wards, Lukashya and Kasama constituency offices,” she added.
Ms Chaiwila advised applicants to ensure that they submit filled in forms by 31st December, 2024.
The skills training is an initiative aimed at empowering youths with necessary skills and education to build a brighter future in them so that they can contribute to the development of the community.
