TEVETA PEN CONTRACT WITH 24 INSTITUTIONS

TECHNICAL Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) has signed contracts with 24 institutions aimed at training over one thousand employees.

During the Employer Bases Training (EBT) contract signing ceremony TEVETA Acting Director General Ocean Matimba says more than 1,200 employees will benefit at a cost of K15.2 million.

Mr Matimba noted that TEVETA is implementing a skills upgrading programme for the country’s workforce to improve its productivity and efficiency through tailored up-skilling programmes.

He highlighted that EBT will also build long term partnerships by the private sector, training institutions and TEVETA in skills development for economic transformation.

And Sarovar Premiere Hotel Group Resource Manager George Tembo called on other companies to also participate in the EBT.
