The Department of community development in Lupososhi District has received the first consignment of Food Security Pack (FSP) inputs for 2024.

Confirming to ZANIS, District Community Development Officer Dean Mweemba revealed that a total of 1,634 beneficiaries across the district  will get the farmer inputs for  2024/2025 farming season. 

Mr Mweemba  said that the department has since  received 3,268 by 50 Kilograms bags  of Urea fertilizer and that the remainder of the inputs are yet to be received. 

He further said the district is yet to receive seeds for both maize and legumes. 

“Yes we have fertilizer however, we are yet to receive 1634, 10kg bags of maize seed, 500 by 10 Kilograms of groundnuts seed, and 1134 by 10 kilograms bags of beans seed and 3268 by 50 kilograms bags of compound D fertilizer,” he revealed.
