The United Party for National Development (UPND) in North-Western Province has commended the judicial system in the country for always upholding the rule of law.
UPND Provincial Mobilization Chairperson Benson Sambaulu said the courts have proven once again that no one is above the law.
Mr. Sambaulu said this is after a solidarity matchpast to celebrate the smooth proceeding of the Eligibility case of Edgar Chagwa Lungu and others.
“We are happy with the judgement because there is no one who is above the law and this government is a government of laws,” Mr Sambaulu stated.
The ruling party stands resolute to ensure that the courts of law are respected and they remain independent.
Additionally, Mr Sambaulu stated that the party in the Province will work extra hard to ascertain victory for the ruling government in 2026.
“From now going forward up to 2026, we are going to work extra hard. Those votes that HH got in the Province will now be 99.9 percent ,”Mr Sambaulu said.
Meanwhile, Provincial Deputy Permanent Secretary Luckson Mulumbi stated that as Zambia is a free and democratic country , citizens are free to express themselves.
Mr Mulumbi stated that the party was free to match in solidarity to support any good will demonstrated by any wing of the government as it has been demonstrated in the eligibility case.
