Lusaka Province Permanent Secretary Robert Kamalata says the Integrated Agriculture Survey that will be conducted in the province will help strengthen statistical development and capacity.

“I’m reliably informed that the Zambia Statistics project is a 30-million-dollar facility that has been provided by the World Bank which was effected in November 2023 to September 2028.
He added that the project will help close various data gaps identified in the eighth national development plan and the national strategy for development of statistics.
Mr Kamalata noted that the Integrated Agriculture survey will help monitor and evaluate the improvement of the project in enhancing the resilience of rural livelihood.
Mr Kamalata noted that the survey is critical for informing policy designers and implementers, hence the need to be taken seriously.
“The government has renewed its commitment to the use of reliable data for planning and policy making”, he said.
