THE Civil Service Commission has announced the recruitment of 4,140 health workers across the country.
Commission Chairperson, Choolwe Beyani, has disclosed that out of the total recruited health workers, three thousand, four hundred and ninety four were hired through district subcommittees and provincial human resource management committees, while six hundred and forty six were cholera volunteers.
During a Press briefing in Lusaka today, Dr Beyani emphasised that the names of the professional cholera volunteers and successful candidates will be published on January 27 and January 29, 2025, respectively.
He added that the names will be published in the Zambia Daily Mail and the Times of Zambia Newspapers and advised the successful candidates to collect their appointment letters from their respective provincial health offices starting January 29, 2025.
Dr Beyani urged the newly recruited health personnel to seize the opportunity to serve the public with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism, to elevate the country’s health services to greater heights.
He further encouraged unsuccessful candidates not to lose hope, as the government has demonstrated a commitment to employing health workers annually.
