CIVIL SERVANTS URGED TO DESIST FROM CONFLICTS 

CHISAMBA District Commissioner Joel Mboyoma has implored health care providers in the district to desist from in-fighting, a situation he says is impeding on the delivery of health care services.

Mr Mboyoma notes that some officers are focusing on fighting for positions at the expense of providing health care services to their clients.

ZANIS reports that Mr Mboyoma said this during a management meeting held at Chisamba District Administration.

“We do not want public service workers who have a lazy attitude towards work. there is job security in the civil service but the Government will not hold onto non-performers,” he warned.

Mr Mboyoma urged public service workers to be diligent in their dispensation of duties so as to enhance social economic transformation in the area.

He called on the workers to adopt a good work ethic, adding that underperforming officers will face disciplinary action.

Mr Mboyoma instructed Heads of Government Departments to discipline erring officer’s adding that failure to which he will crack the whip on them for failing to supervise their subordinates.

He further encouraged public service workers to familiarise themselves with the new code of ethics to ensure their adherence to the stipulated regulations.
