PSMFC DAIRY CATTLE PROJECT ON COURSE

The Public Service Micro Finance Company’s (PSMFC) Dairy Cattle Project has achieved remarkable success with all 32 dairy cattle imported from South Africa last year producing calves.

In an exclusive interview with ZANIS in Lusaka, PSMFC Chief Information Officer, Paul Haambote, revealed that six public service workers have benefited from the 32 dairy cattle project aimed at promoting dairy farming and improving food security.

Mr Haambote stated that the project has provided the beneficiaries with a unique opportunity to engage in dairy farming and improve their livelihoods.

“The initiative is part of the company’s efforts to support the agricultural sector and improve the livelihoods of public service workers,” he said.

He also announced that another shipment of dairy cattle is expected to arrive from South Africa this week.

Mr Haambote attributed the project’s success to the company’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector and improving the livelihoods of public service workers.
