ABSA CUP enters round 16 with the team aiming high.

The ABSA Cup round of 16 is set to kick off tomorrow Friday 29th March 2024 with teams playing to qualify to the quarter finals.

And local Soccer analyst Puncherello Chama says it is very difficult to predict the teams that will make it to the quarter final.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS sports , Chama has however, noted that a lot of the Zambian Super League teams have got much easier games which increases their chances of qualifying.

“Almost all the other games from the super League will pull through except maybe Nkwazi vs. Indeni as Nkwazi is currently not doing well with the coaching changes this season and Indeni F.C  may have the aid to win.” Chama said.

Chama observed that the Green Eagle’s F.C game against Athletico F.C Lusaka will be a bit tricky as the team recently changed their coach while their opponent has been consistent this season.

Chama said the ZESCO United versus Barotse Crocs game is also an   interesting match to look out for as ZESCO’S level of experience and exposure is on another level compared to Barotse.

The action will kick off with Nkwazi facing Indeni Football Club at the Nkana stadium while Power Dynamos will clash at Arthur Davies stadium against Mwaimwena strikers.

On Saturday, Red Arrows will face Malalo Police, as Nchanga Rangers battle River Plate at Arthur Davies Stadium while on Sunday Muza FC will lock horns with Chirundu United as Green Eagles go head to head with Athletico Lusaka at Nkoloma Stadium.
