The University Teaching Hospital (UTH) says Chipolopolo former captain Rainford Kalaba’s condition is steadily improving as he remains stable.

Updating the nation on the condition of the 2012 AFCON winner’s condition, UTH public Relations Officer Nzeba Chanda says Kalaba’s health condition has stabilized and health personnel are doing everything possible to ensure that he recovers fully.

According to a statement released to the media, Ms. Chanda also urged loved ones to continue praying for him as he continues his journey to full recovery.

“As much as his family and hospital appreciate the overwhelming numbers of people that have continued visiting him, we will appreciate that we give him the privacy he deserves at the moment” she said.

Ms. Chanda said the hospital will continue updating the nation on Kalaba’s condition as the medical team remains positive.

Kalaba was hospitalized in the University Teaching Hospital, following a fatal road accident that occurred on Saturday, April 13, 2024, along Kafue road.
