Mumbwa District Commissioner Namukolo Hayumbu has commended the Zambia Corrections Services (ZCS) for speeding up the construction of Chiefs palaces in the district.
Mrs Hayumbu says after monitoring the construction process of the Chiefs’ palaces, she is impressed with the progress made so far.
She said this when Zambia Correction Service (ZCS ) Commissioner in Charge of Corrections and Extension Services Namataa Mayumbelo and her delegation paid a courtesy call on her.
The District Commissioner said the government was eager to hand over the newly constructed housing units to the chiefs , promptly.
And Ms Mayumbelo, has assured the District Commissioner that her institution is on course and that the project will be delivered on time.
Ms Mayumbelo has made an assurance that the construction of Chiefs Chakumbila, Mulendema and Chief Kaindu palaces will be completed.
The government embarked on the construction of the Chief’s palace in all ten Provinces of Zambia in order to uplift the well-being standards of the traditional leaders in the Country.
