Apostle Mayambu urges citizens against dividing the nation

Battle Cry for Zambia founder Obrian Mayambu has urged Zambians to desist from uttering statements that have potential to divide the country.

Apostle Mayambu told ZANIS in an interview that it is disheartening that some Zambians are engaging in tribal talks, a situation he described as unfortunate.

He explained that tribal remarks have a negative impact on the country adding that it is retrogressive to national development.

“We are all Zambians before anything and no one should be discriminated against based on their tribe,” he said.

The Clergy said it is the duty of every well-meaning Zambian to condemn the acts of people who are trying to divide Zambians.

“It’s sad that a few days after celebrating African Freedom day some people are trying to turn Zambians against each other,” he said.

Apostle Mayambu said people should use the right channels to air their grievances instead of engaging in tribal discrimination.

He has called on ZambianS to uphold peace and unity.

“We only have one Zambia, let us guard it jealously for the future generation,” noted Apostle Mayambu.
