Over 50 women, youths and community groups in Chilanga district will benefit from the empowerment grants from the 2024 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

In a Public Notice made available to ZANIS in Chilanga, Chilanga Town Council Secretary Greyson Sakala says 59 groups from across the 12 wards within the district will benefit from the empowerment grants.

Mr. Sakala said each group will receive an equal amount of K40,000 and that the disbursement of the funds will be communicated to the beneficiaries in due course.

“That beneficiaries are requested to confirm their banking details with accounts or the planning department at the local authority,’’ Mr. Sakala stated

Meanwhile, the Public Relations department has disclosed that Chilanga Town Council is currently rehabilitating some roads of Beresford in Lilayi Area.

The revitalisation works which are being done in collaboration with members of the community will help to improve connectivity, shorten traveling time and give the area a decent facelift.
