President Hakainde Hichilema is expected in the United Kingdom for a work visit from the 18th to the 21 of June 2024.

In a press statement released to ZANIS by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mulambo Haimbe, President Hichilema is expected to reinforce and strengthen Zambia’s relations with the United Kingdom for the country’s development and cooperation.

The president is scheduled to hold strategic meetings with investors to unlock avenues for increased cooperation and collaboration in London.

The head of State will then proceed to Edinburgh, Scotland on the 19th of June where he is expected to hold a bilateral meeting with First Minister of Scotland His Excellency Mr John Swinney.

President Hichilema is further scheduled to attend a meeting of eminent persons at Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford on the 21st of June.

While there, the Head of State is expected to deliver a keynote address and engage with Zambian students, and will return home immediately after.
