Mambwe Town Council says it is satisfied with the construction works of a one by three classroom block at Chisengu Day Secondary School in Chisengu Ward.

Mambwe Town Council Public Relations Officer Grace Lungu says the community in Chisengu applied to the CDF committee for the completion of the project which had earlier started as a community project after pupils were seen using one of the churches within the ward as an alternative classroom.

Ms. Lungu said  in an interview that the project which was initially started by the community was taken up for completion in December  2023.

She outlined the project scope as including but not limited to completion of the superstructure up to plate level, installation of door frames and window frames, plastering,  construction of screed and accessibility ramps among other works.

“ The project was implemented on a full time basis and was  now awaiting to be commissioned before being handed over to the  intended beneficiaries, “  she said.

The Mambwe Town Council Public Relations Officer  expressed happiness that the project was completed according to specifications.
