Commerce Trade and Industry Minister Chipoka Mulenga says the government will safeguard and protect the country’s sovereignty against undue investment practices.
Mr Mulenga says it is unfortunate that negative propaganda is being spread regarding the 72 billion rice project in Luapula province which is only at consultative stage.
The Minister has further stated that the government will not entertain monopolistic business practices in the country but instead promote healthy investment practices.
He was speaking during a business forum in Ndola this morning.
The forum was being held on the sidelines of the 58th edition of the Zambia international trade fair in Ndola.
