CELEBRATED Zambian musician Wesley Chibambo fondly known as King Dandy Krazy has been put to rest at the Leopards Hill Memorial Park in Lusaka.
And Government has pledged support to the family of the late musician.
Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts, Elvis Nkandu says this is to ensure that the family receives necessary assistance during and after the difficult time.
ZANIS reports that speaking during the send off ceremony at Lusaka showgrounds , Mr Nkandu urged musicians to continue honouring the late Chibambo’s legacy by being united.
Musician Association of Zambia President, Davison Munsanda also known as Massaj described the late Chibambo as a musician who inspired a lot of people in the music industry.
Brian Bwembya also known as B’flow described the late as someone who brought modern day music to the country and that his music should be celebrated.
Nkana Member of Parliament Binwell Mpundu, who was also a friend to the late described him as the musician who shaped the music industry on the Copper-belt and was a brother to all.
Founder of danger zone recordings, Yokes Chiyokoma also known as ba Yoka where the late first recorded his music celebrated the life and legacy of Mr Chibambo saying that his music will undoubtedly continue to inspire and entertain future generations.
Meanwhile, wife to the late, Hellen Chalwe Chibambo who was represented by Leah Ngoma described her husband as someone who supported his family and he was a visionary musician.
“My love, you lived your life through singing and dancing, you may be gone but your spirit of music will live with us,” she said.
Shekinah Chibambo a third born daughter of the late Mr Chibambo gave a heartfelt tribute that she will replace her birthday with her father’s death day.
“You were the best father we could ever ask for,” she said.
Former Kabwata Member of parliament Given Lubinda,was also among the people who paid tribute to the late Mr Chibambo.
Mr Lubinda described the late as an artist who brought joy among his fans.
