NDOLA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LAUDS GOVERNMENT

THE Ndola District Chamber of Commerce and Industry has hailed government for prioritizing the construction of the Lusaka-Ndola Dual Carriageway project.

District Chamber of Commerce and Industry President, Joseph Malisawa has described the project as a positive development.

Mr Malisawa says, once complete, the Lusaka-Ndola Dual Carriage Way will significantly reduce the time spent on the movement of goods and services, guarantee safety on the road and reduce wear and tear to vehicles.

Mr. Malisawa adds that the Chamber is elated that the project has already created 2,300 of the 3,000 projected jobs with 20 percent of the scope of work on the said road to be given to the local stakeholders as per commitment made by the stakeholders.

Mr. Malisawa further noted that this will also boost revenue through transit fees as Ndola district will become a transit hub.

Malisawa also noted that investments in road infrastructure like the Mufulira-Sakanya road will ease exportation of goods by road into the Democratic republic of Congo.

Mr. Malisawa shared these insights when he featured on ZANIS Copperbelt Province’s The Lens programme.
