SOLWEZI PARENTS URGED TO TAKE CHILDREN TO SCHOOL

Solwezi Central Member of Parliament Stafford Mulusa has urged parents and guardians to take advantage of the free education policy by taking their children to school.

Mr Mulusa explained that education is a fundamental human right which every Zambian should access.

“Government understands the importance of education that is why is it constructing schools to allow children attain an education,” he noted

Mr Mulusa has also cautioned parents against marrying off their children at a tender age adding that the government will not allow it.

“Those who will be found marrying off their children will be visited by law,” he said

Mr Mulusa stated that children are the future leaders hence the need for concerted effort in getting them educated.

“If we deny these children their right to education then we are not only infringing on their rights but also negatively affecting the country’s development,” he charged

Mr Mulusa said this when he commissioned a 1 by 3 classroom block at Kimale Secondary School in Solwezi district.
