Government has rolled out the dissemination of the 2023 National gender Policy programme across the country.

Gender Division Acting Permanent Secretary Kennedy Kalunga revealed during the stakeholder’s engagement in Ndola, Copperbelt Province that the programmes being disseminated aims to accelerate the attainment of Gender equity and equality through an integrated and multi sectoral approach.

Mr Kalunga said the policy also envisions a nation with gender equity and equality in social, political, cultural and economic development.

The acting Permanent Secretary has since called on everyone in the country to become advocates for gender equality in championing the policy in every sphere of influence and actively participate in its implementation.

ZANIS reports that Mr Kalunga is expected to roll out the Gender policy programmes in the Copperbelt and Western provinces.
