SOLWEZI COUNCIL ALLOCATES K21 MILLION FOR 2025 COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Solwezi Municipal Council has allocated over K21,000,000  kwacha towards community projects in the 2025 Constituency Development Fund out of the total K36.1 million allocation.

In a statement issued to ZANIS today, Council Assistant Public Relations Manager Esther Chirwa stated that the money will go towards nine approved community projects.

“The approved projects will receive a total allocation of K21, 028, 457.82 which will be used to implement initiatives aimed at improving community infrastructure and services,” Ms Chirwa said.

Ms Chirwa stated that the projects will be selected from the health, Education, water supply, road infrastructure and economic development.

“The specifics of these approved projects are yet to be detailed but may involve key sectors” Ms Chirwa said.

Ms Chirwa has however stated that the CDF Committee is yet to approve the skills development and secondary boarding bursaries for 2025.

“It is important to note that while the community projects have been approved, other critical components of the CDF are still under consideration” She said.

Ms Chirwa further highlighted the municipality’s commitment to the proper utilisation of the CDF for the benefit of the local community.
