MONGU Central Constituency in Western Province is set to complete 14 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) projects for 2024.

Mongu Central Constituency CDF Chairperson, Sikuniso Mupo told ZANIS that community projects were prioritized for purposes of bringing immediate improvement to the lives of people.

The projects include a  1×3 classroom block at Mukoko primary school, construction of a market shelter at central market, construction of a police post in Mulambwa, construction of a police station in Kasima and repair of water scheme in Kaama.

“Other projects include construction of  market shelters at Liyoyelo and Kapulanga, construction of 1×3 classroom block at Mutalaiti and water scheme, expansion and rehabilitation of green market shelter and construction of a police post in Imwiko,” he said.

Mr Mupo explained that the time frame that was given to contractors was three months but extension was given to those who did not finish on time.

He said once completed, the  CDF projects would spark development in the district and bring satisfaction to the local people.
