A 26-year-old entrepreneur in Isoka District has opened a butchery and employed three workers after investing K99,600 she received as an empowerment loan under the 2024 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Ms Victoria Nambela, a young entrepreneur, says she used the CDF loan to acquire fridges, a generator, and a butcher boy machine to open a butchery that supplies fresh beef and fish to the local community.
“This loan has been a game-changer. It gave me the resources I needed to turn my dream into reality,” She said.
So far, Nambela’s butchery has created three jobs, providing stable income for employees and boosting the local economy.
“Opening this butchery is not just about selling meat, it’s about supporting the community and creating opportunities for others as well,” she said.
Ms Nambela has expressed gratitude to the Government for the expanded CDF initiative.
“These projects are giving us hope as young people. They are helping us create better futures for ourselves and contribute to our communities,” she explained.
