Govt. constructs additional classrooms in Kalulushi

Kalulushi District Education Standards Officer Simon Mbulo has commended government for constructing additional classrooms’ blocks in most schools in the area.

Mr. Mbulo says his office is grateful to government through the ministry of Education for the gesture especially in schools which had shortfalls of classrooms following government’s free education policy.

He notes that schools in the peri-urban areas of Kalulushi such as Mwansangwa where they have a one by four classroom block which was not there, has now been built.

In an interview with ZANIS , the DEBS said  the district has so far received 3,500 desks using Constituency Development Fund (CDF) which are resolving the issue of desks in the classrooms.

He added that through the CDF, most schools now are well stocked with desks, adding that  school children are no longer sitting on the floor while learning.

“It is there, now, that is a relief on our part as ministry, because now the children have got shelter, even if it rained today, at least they will have a room where to learn from.” Said Mr Mbulo.
