Presidential Advisor for Politics Levy Ngoma says the Government has not neglected the youths since it came into power in 2021.

Mr Ngoma says the Government has made sure that youths in the country get trained in various skills such as brick laying, carpentry and tailoring using the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

He has told ZANIS in an interview that the United Party for National Development (UPND) got into power with the larger number of its votes coming from the youths adding that it sees no reason why it should not take care of them.

Mr Ngoma said a lot of youths in the country are benefitting from grants and loans all coming from CDF which shows that they are not left out.

He said the youths under the leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema have not been left behind as evidenced by the employment of over 30,000 teachers in one year.

Mr Ngoma said the Government has more effective plans coming that will benefit the youths.

“The message that the youths must embrace and embrace seriously, is the fact that we have got a President who believes in handwork, he believes that laziness does not pay, “He said.

Mr Ngoma said President Hichilema wants to see hard working youths that will spend their productive time to develop the country and not the youths that spend it’s energy on insulting and beating other people
