Lusambo goes in for two years 

Former Kabushi Member of Parliament, Bowman Lusambo, has been sentenced to two years imprisonment with hard labor for the offense of unlawful wounding. 

Lusambo was convicted of unlawfully wounding Stanley Musukwa, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) member, during the Roan Parliamentary by-election on April 11, 2019.

In Passing judgement , Lusaka magistrate Penstone Chiluba sitting in Luanshya said the move is aimed at deterring political violence, considering the severity of the injuries musukwa sustained from the attack.

Bowman Lusambo, the former Lusaka Province Minister and Kabushi Member of Parliament , was recently arrested following his conviction for unlawful wounding by the Luanshya Magistrate Court Magistrate Penistone Chiluba ,

Magistrate Chiluba delivered the judgment in Lusambo’s absence, prompting the immediate issuance of a bench warrant for his arrest.

The Former lawmaker was later arrested at his residence and was taken to Luanshya for sentencing.

The conviction stems from an incident on April 11, 2019, when Lusambo allegedly attacked National Democratic Congress (NDC) member Stanley Musukwa, 58, with a machete.
