A 47 Year old School Head Teacher in Chinsali District in Muchinga Province has committed suicide by taking unknown poisonous substance.

Muchinga Province Police Commanding Officer, Dennis Moola has confirmed the incident in an interview with Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) in Chinsali today.

Mr. Moola  has identified the deceased as Teddy Musukwa, a School Head Teacher at Mwaba Primary School in Chinsali.

He alleged that the incident happened on Friday 5 October 2024 between midnight and 02:30hrs at Musukwa’s place of residence in Farmer Teaching Centre (FTC) Compound.

Mr. Moola pointed out that, the reason as to why Musukwa committed suicide has not yet been established.

The Police Commanding Officer revealed that Musukwa died at the hospital before he was attended to.

Mr. Moola said the body of the deceased is currently laying in Chinsali District Hospital mortuary awaiting possible burial.
