Zambians urged to participate in national day of prayer

The National Executive Committee of the National day of prayer Vice Chairman Penias Mbewe has called for National unity as the country celebrates National day of prayer on October 18.

Speaking at the 2024 National day of prayer press briefing held in Lusaka, Dr Mbewe invited all Zambian citizens to participate in the 2024 National prayer and fasting day to enhance reconciliation among Zambia.

He has encouraged all Zambians to go to any place possible and participate in the programs that have been put in place for in different locations.

“We extend an invitation to all citizens, religious leaders, civil society and organizations to participate fully in this day of National significance. Let this day remind us that, despite our differences, we are all bound by a common love for our country,” he added

He has called on the public to support the government of the day in developing the nation through hard work and having a sense of responsibility.

And National Executive committee, Deputy Secretary, Bilon Kalumbiga, says Zambia is a Christian Nation people should always seek God in prayer and take all their problems to him.

Bishop Kalumbinga has also urged citizens to pray for National leaders to promote a God fearing leadership in the country.
