Kasama DEBS elated with exam centre

Kasama District Education Board Secretary (DEBS), James Chibuye is impressed with the way schools are handling grade seven final examinations in the area.

Mr Chibuye says so far, all schools that have been monitored are calm and that the environment they are in is conducive for examinations.

ZANIS reports that speaking after touring selected schools in the district Mr Chibuye noted that school management were always on time and are adhering to the standards of the ministry of education.

And Nkole Urban Primary School Headteacher, Lucy Mupondwa thanked the government for the continued support.

Ms Mupondwa said the school has enough furniture to accommodate all the pupils together with those from surrounding private schools that do not have examination centres.

She has since appreciated the exchange program for invigilators within the district and confirmed that 10 teachers had come from Lukasha Primary School.

And Kampongolo Primary School Headteacher, Deophister Bwalya disclosed that the turnout is good adding that only 6 out of the 199 who were registered missed the examinations.

Ms Bwalya has since appealed to parents to encourage their children and tell them about the benefits of education.

Among the schools visited were Mubanga Chipoya, Lua Luo, Kasama and Nkole Urban Primary Schools.
