Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary Thabo Kawana says it is important to draw advice from past bearers of public positions.

ZANIS reports that Mr Kawana was speaking at his office today when he met the former Permanent Secretary in his Ministry, Amos Malupenga.

Mr Kawana said Mr Malupenga was the longest serving Permanent Secretary under the Ministry who has a lot of experience and wealth of knowledge.

He charged that the country needs to know that this is how a country must be run without isolating each other but working together.

Meanwhile, Mr Malupenga has commended Mr Kawana for his initiative to consult past office bearers like himself.

Mr Malupenga said consultations should be at all levels adding that learning from those that came before, can help avoid repeating mistakes.

He pointed out that consultations are better than advising each other through the press to address inadequacies.
