HEAVY rain has left a trail of destruction at Senka Primary school in Senga Hill, Northern Province where a classroom block and staff houses had its roof blown off.
Apart from the school infrastructure, various text books as well as five computers were also destroyed.
Senka Primary School Headteacher John Kasonde told ZANIS that no pupil was hurt at the time the disaster occurred.
The headteacher revealed that the school has also put in immediate intervention to allow learning to continue for pupils in the affected classes.
Mr Kasonde said the school runs from early childhood education (ECE) to grade seven, with a total enrolment of 582 pupils.
And Mukololo Ward Councilor Benson Simfukwe has appealed to government through the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) to aid the school.
Mr. Simfukwe appealed for quick intervention to avoid disruption of learning.
