The Dam whose works are supposed to be completed before the end of this year will provide water for irrigation, livestock and water supply to Muyembe community and the surrounding area.

The Minister points out that the government is happy with the 80 percent of work done so far.

And yesterday Republican President Hakainde Hichilema emphasized the importance of the Aerial survey which the Ministers are undertaking in Luapula.

The President indicated that he allowed the Ministers to tour the province so that they too can appreciate and plan how best the province can be developed.

“There are a lot of natural resources in this province and I have sent my Ministers to come and find ways on how best we can tap bring development in sectors such as aquaculture, mining, livestock and energy,” he said.

Mr. Hichilema explained that apart from the Aerial survey of the Ministers we will be able to engage various stakeholders in the province.
