THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has instituted disciplinary regulations on erring teams and players in Eastern Province.

This follows the FAZ disciplinary committee hearing held on  November 09, 2024 which discussed the Division One Week-3 unplayed match between Mambwe Council and Eastern Eagles will be played on  December 05, 2024 at Oldbeit ground.

ZANIS Sports reports that Eastern Province Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) general secretary Zondiwe  Hara  disclosed in a statement that the FAZ Eastern Province disciplinary committee found both teams were found wanting for mis-conduct which forced the match not to be played.

“While the match officials equally went against the resolution of the FAZ council by demanding for state uniformed police instead of stewards,” he said.

Hara said the disciplinary committee also  ruled that the  Division Two unplayed match between Kafunkha United & Nyelele FC is scheduled to be played December 05, 2024.

“Facts of the matter are that the game failed to take off after both teams wasted a lot of time in unnecessary disputes during inspection,” he said.

This is according to the statement released by FAZ by Eastern Province Media and Communications Officer Maybin Mboola.

Hara  said Lundazi United and  FM Travellers  have been awarded three points with a 3-0 scoreline each, following Mtiliz Sports Academy’s inability to fulfill the Week-9 and Week-13 brought forward league game.

Mtiliz Sports Academy have also been fined K3,000 for the two offenses by the disciplinary committee.

He said Lundazi United have been awarded three vital points following Mtiliz Sports Academy failure to travel to Lundazi for their week-nine match.

He said week 13 had FM Travellers vs Mtiliz Sports Academy match brought forward by the Nyimba district Division Two two side but  unfortunately Mtiliz Sports couldn’t travel to fulfill the fixtures.

“So FM Travellers have also been awarded three points with a three nil scoreline,” Zondiwe said.
