PETAUKE United football club have been docked for using two ineligible players in their Week seven and eight fixture  against Malambo United and Chipata City Council FC, respectively.

The Petauke based side has been penalised after they used  Yulu Njobvu and Abram Phiri to play as their players when in fact they  are registered with Division Two club Young Kachisi Football Club.

Eastern Province Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) general secretary Zondiwe  Hara  said the disciplinary committee ruled that the two players in question  be suspended to play any FAZ game until they clear their dual registration.

“Petauke united used an ineligible player by the name of Yulu Njobvu, who is  originally a Young Kachisi FC player in Week-7 league game against Malambo united and Week-8 against Chipata City council.

“Young Kachisi and  the FAZ system confirmed that Yulu Njobvu  is duly registered with Young Kachisi, the most funny thing is that Yulu was registered with a different NRC at Petauke United and that he reduced his actual age,” he said.

Hara said similarly, a player called Abram Phiri, registered as Abraham Phiri at Young Kachisi while at Petauke United is registered as Abram Phiri.

“So there’s that dual registration which the two players are using, Young Kachisi confirmed that they tried to engage Petauke United to do the normal transfer which Petauke United could not follow but decided to use shortcuts by getting another NRC for Yulu Njobvu and registered him with a different NRC similarly with Abram Phiri,” he said.

Hara said Petauke United has since  lost three points with a 3-0 scoreline in favor of Malambo United.

“Equally in a Week 8 match against Chipata City Council FC. There  are no charges for Petauke United for using those two players except that the players in question –  Yulu Njobvu and  Abram Phiri have been suspended until further notice,” he said.

Hara said the two suspended players will no longer take part in any FAZ game until they are  cleared off their dual registration.

He said that the disciplinary committee awarded Prison Leopards of Chipata and Lundazi united football clubs three points apiece under a 3-0 nil scoreline following Chataika and Nyimba Council Football club inability to fulfill the Week-7 and Week 8 league fixtures.

The teams in question ,Chataika FC and Nyimba Council FC, respectively, have been fined K1,500 each for going against FAZ guidelines.
