SIAVONGA FISP BENEFICIARIES COMMEND GOVERNMENT 

SIAVONGA District has reached a hundred percent mark in the distribution of farming inputs for 2024-2025 farming season.

Siavonga District Senior Agricultural Officer (SAO) Amon Mambalakata  says  all the targeted  1500 Farmers in the District have received their inputs for this season.

In an interview with ZANIS, Mr. Mambalaka said his office has delivered 225 metric tonnes of D.compound and 225 metric tonnes of Top dressing  that has been distributed to 1500 farmers.

The 1,500 FISP beneficiaries have been given one 10 kg of maize seed each,while 750 farmers have also  been given 10 kg of Sorghum each.

375 farmers have been given 10 kg of cowpeas and 375 farmers have also been given 20 kgs of groundnuts each to be planted in the 2024-2025 farming season.

 The SAO has called on FISP beneficiaries to plant all the seeds given to them and achieve the government’s agenda of averting hunger in the district.

And Siavonga Farmers Inputs Support Program FISP beneficiaries have commended government for the early distribution of farming inputs for 2024-2025 farming season.

And  Nickson Mbalangwe, one of the FISP beneficiaries,  expressed gratitude for receiving the farming inputs on time stating that it allowed farmers to plan for the farming season.

His counterpart, Manford Yabuhuuluma equally thanked government for the early farming distribution to Farmers in Siavonga district.

Mr Yabuhuuluma has called on FISP beneficiaries to ensure that they plant all the seeds given to them.
