SMART ZAMBIA VOWS TO MODERNISE E-PAYSLIPS

THE Smart Zambia Institute says it remains committed to ensuring improved services through modernsed management of the E-Payslip.

Smart Zambia  Assistant Director for Service Management, Valentine Chitambala says his institution is resolute  to upgrade the system which could process three to four times as fast as the previous one.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS in an interview, the Assistant Director said in the past few months, the institute experienced some challenges in the management of the E-Payslips.

“In order to respond to this challenge favourably, we want to develop an upgraded system that can process three to four times as fast as the previous one,” he said.

The system would also bring improved cyber security steps in terms of those that might wish to attack it because its walls were strong and it was not easy to penetrate it.

He observed that it was against this background that Smart Zambia Institute called all the Human Resource Officers and all end-users from the region to be oriented on the new development.

Mr Chitambala noted that as the engagement came to an end, he was hopeful that most of the issues that led to delays in the management of payslips, would be addressed so that no one cried foul.

The archive was also undergoing improvement, he said adding that over time, it would be able to help those that were about to retire from the civil service from the perspective of the Public Service Pensions Fund (PSPF).

“We also want to announce that the self service portal is back. Other than the retirement issues under PSPF, those that want to compare their contributions with what the National Pensions Scheme Authority (NAPSA) is providing, will also be assisted through the upgraded system.

A Human Resource Officer from Nyimba District, Christopher Mushakabanze, appreciated the training which he said would give participants a wider scope and reduce traveling costs.

Mr Mushakabanze said the upgrade would also reduce travel costs of former civil servants who left the service between 2016 and 2017 to get their payslips which they failed to collect at that time.
