UNITED Party for National Development (UPND) Chairman General Special Duties, William Banda says Civil Servants are implementers of Government policies, hence, should work with the ruling party to foster development in the country.
Mr. Banda said this when he addressed District and Provincial heads of Government departments yesterday during a meeting held at Chinsali Municipal Council Chamber in Chinsali District.
Mr. Banda said it is imperative that Civil Servants interact with Party officials in the spirit of working together to achieve the President’s developmental agenda.
“Civil Servants and the ruling Party must collaborate as they all serve the same purpose of working for the Zambian people,” said Mr. Banda.
He added that the UPND Party expects Civil Servants as implementers of developmental projects to support the good intentions of the Government.
Mr. Banda further said Civil Servants are planners at the grassroots who are key factors of National development.
Meanwhile, speaking at the same meeting, Muchinga Province Deputy Permanent Secretary (DPS) Mathews Chilekwa urged Civil Servants in Muchinga Province to support the vision of President Hakainde Hichilema and move in one direction.
