Njebelwa Primary School ‘s management in Mungwi District has appealed to government to consider constructing additional infrastructure.
Acting School Head Teacher Christopher Kamfwa, says this is because the learning institution has currently two classrooms making it difficult to conduct classes against .
In an interview with ZANIS , Mr Kamfwa said the situation is discouraging some pupils to attend classes.
“Currently we have 296 pupils and there is only a one by one by two classroom block to accommodate all of them,” Mr Kamfwa said
And the Acting Head Teacher says there is a need for the Ministry of Education to establish a secondary school in the area.
He noted that the lack of a secondary school within the locality is causing some pupils to drop out of school.
The construction of secondary schools will motivate more pupils knowing that they will complete their education.
